Indiana public-records law makes many jail and court records open to inspection, but the right search path depends on the type of custody. Putnam County Jail is run by the Putnam County Sheriff's Office and covers people currently lodged in the local jail. Putnamville Correctional Facility is a separate Indiana Department of Correction prison for sentenced adult male state prisoners. Federal and immigration custody use still different locators.
